Eric Trump, the executive vice president of the Trump Organization, praised China at the BTC Asia conference in Hong Kong and stated that "there is no doubt anymore" that the country has "made an incredible mark on bitcoin and cryptocurrency." "There is no doubt that China is a powerful force in the world and is doing very well at it. By the way, I also give similar praise to the Middle East. I mean, the Middle East has really embraced cryptocurrency strongly, and they are making great strides in this effort," said Donald Trump's son. Trump considers the US-China relationship to be the focus of the future of digital finance, agreeing that both countries "are certainly leading in cryptocurrency." When asked whether this topic would be raised at the upcoming trade meeting between his father and Chinese President Xi Jinping, he suggested that the agenda might focus on larger issues, but stated that he "definitely wants to discuss bitcoin." He also emphasized the role of bitcoin in creating a unique international community, calling it "one of the most diverse communities in the world" and noting that conversations about bitcoin connect people from "different cultures, societies, languages, and religions." He stated that this global network makes this type of asset "great for humanity." He positions the United States under his father's leadership as a rapidly developing country, claiming that there has been more progress on digital assets in the seven months since Trump returned to power compared to the past decade. Trump describes America as "victorious in the digital revolution" thanks to strong political backing and support from Wall Street organizations, national investment funds, and pension accounts. In another part of Trump’s cryptocurrency world, CoinDesk recently reported that American Bitcoin, a mining company 20% owned by Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump and 80% owned by Hut 8, is planning to launch on Nasdaq in September through a merger with Gryphon after raising $220 million to expand its infrastructure and bitcoin holdings.
