New Power April Sales Release: Leap Motor hits a new high with 70k units, Li Auto and XPeng both exceed 30k units
On May 1st, several new car-making forces disclosed their April delivery data one after another. Overall, the market shows a clear warming trend, with most brands achieving year-over-year positive growth. Among them, Leap Motor has formed a “cliff-like” leading position, maintaining the top spot with over 70k units. The traditional top three new forces, “Wei, Xiao, Li,” all reached around 30k units, and Xiaomi Auto also returned to over 30k units. Regarding the overall performance of the April auto market, the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA) also provided relevant analysis and outlook. The CPCA stated that in April, local policies to promote consumption continued to take effect, new models were launched in the spring season, and terminal customer flow gradually recovered. Although short-term growth fluctuations were caused by earlier policy adjustments, the intrinsic growth momentum of the market is gradually continuing. It is expected that April’s sales of narrow passenger cars will be about 1.42 million units, with retail sales of new energy vehicles reaching approximately 860k units, and penetration rate surpassing 60%.
