US Senate Unanimously Bans Members and Staff From Prediction Markets

The US Senate passed S. Res. 708 on April 30, banning senators and staff from prediction markets. The resolution took effect immediately and marked the first federal action specifically targeting government officials’ participation in prediction markets. Kalshi and Polymarket supported the measure, while the House has not introduced a comparable resolution.
