The Federal Reserve's Goolsbee: The Federal Reserve is waiting to understand the impact of tariffs, the data still appears noisy.

On May 14, Jin10 reported that The Federal Reserve (FED) official Goolsbee stated on Wednesday that the data showing moderate consumer inflation in April does not necessarily reflect the impact of rising U.S. import tariffs, and the FED still needs more data to understand the direction of prices and the economy. Goolsbee said, "There can be a lot of dust in the air, and we hear a lot of noise... We are trying to figure out that main line."
