Mexico's crude oil exports in June fell by 39%, reaching the lowest level in decades.
Jin10 data, July 30 - Official data shows that Mexico's state-owned oil company Pemex's crude oil exports in June fell by 39% year-on-year, reaching the lowest level in decades, due to a significant increase in local refinery processing and fuel production. The company's updated data released later on Monday indicated that its oil exports in June were 458,103 barrels per day, compared to 753,539 barrels per day in the same month last year. This is the lowest level recorded since 1990. In recent years, the Mexican government has sought to achieve so-called "energy sovereignty" by significantly reducing crude oil exports and refining locally.
