Linking the Future Golden Week | FinTech × Blockchain × Web3 Three Forums Launching Together, Taipei Becomes the Global Focus in September

This September, Taipei will transform into a global stage for financial technology and Blockchain ecosystem, hosting three major international forums over six consecutive days — FinTechOn 2025 & AFA Summit, Blockchain Enthusiasts Annual Meeting (TBS), and Taipei Blockchain Week (TBW), covering three main themes: policy, technology, and community, connecting over 200 speakers from home and abroad, making it the largest scale in history.

During the event, we will also combine the "Trend Taipei" series of music and cultural activities, allowing attendees to listen to trends during the day and shop in the streets at night, immersing themselves in the rhythmic dance of technology and art in the city.

First leg: FinTech leads the way: FinTechOn 2025 × AFA Summit (9/1–9/2)

Organized by the Financial Technology Association of Taiwan and guided by the National Development Council, "FinTechOn 2025" in collaboration with the Asia FinTech Alliance (AFA) will be held from September 1 to 2 at the Shangri-La Far Eastern Plaza Hotel in Taipei. The theme focuses on "FinTech × New Battlefields of the Global Supply Chain," with an agenda covering regulatory policies, cross-border payments, digital assets, and Blockchain applications.

Peter Kerstens, a key proponent of the EU's Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCA) and dubbed the "Godfather of MiCA", will be present on-site to discuss international regulatory trends with leaders from the Japanese Cabinet Office, Abu Dhabi Financial Center, and former senior officials of the Hong Kong Monetary Authority.

Representatives from 15 economies of the Asian Financial Technology Alliance will also gather in Taipei to engage in policy dialogue. AFA Chairperson Tsai Yu-Ling emphasized: "FinTech is the key to upgrading the supply chain, and Taiwan must become the core hub of Asian financial technology to strive for leadership."

Second Leg: Blockchain Decade Milestone: TBS Annual Conference Focuses on Decentralization and Compliance New Future (9/2–9/3)

The 10th Blockchain Enthusiasts Annual Conference (TBS) is themed "deX", symbolizing the spirit of decentralized exchanges and a decade of cross-industry transformation. The forum is divided into four major sessions, exploring the integration of Web3 and traditional finance through digital asset applications, anti-fraud money laundering, prevention of virtual crimes, and RWA (real-world assets on-chain) and trust governance.

The heavyweight speaker lineup includes Wilson Cheung, the Compliance Director of Binance Asia Pacific, the on-chain monitoring giant Chainalysis, and financial institutions and startups from Japan, who will bring international experience and practical dialogues. The event will also feature a "Digital Trust Governance" workshop that delves into technologies such as DID, verifiable credentials, and DAO.

The chairman of the organizing committee, Gao Qi Jun, stated: "We started from the entrepreneurial community, and now we are becoming a bridge for institutional innovation. Blockchain is no longer just an ideal, but a reality that is happening."

Third Act: The Grand Finale: Taipei Blockchain Week (TBW) combines AI, culture, and international community (9/4–9/6)

The Taipei Blockchain Week themed "Onboard AI" will take place throughout the Songshan Cultural and Creative Park, expanding to five major exhibition areas, focusing on regulatory discussions, innovative experiments, and international community connections. TBW not only invites heavyweight projects such as Pudgy Penguins, TRON, BNB, and Mastercard, but also local enterprises like Taiwan Mobile to join in the festivities.

The official mascot "Youqianhua" is launched for the first time during the event, symbolizing that everyone can take root and bear fruit in Web3. From immersive experience halls, live podcast shows, to night markets and themed avenues, it creates a blockchain lifestyle festival that the whole city can participate in.

Taipei Blockchain Week curator Lai Yaning stated: "We want to ensure that the next generation and businesses can keep up with the rapid evolution of blockchain and AI. This is not just a forum, but a preview of future life."

Urban Co-Creation Paradigm: Technology and Trends Go Hand in Hand, Taipei Moves Towards a New Vision Like SXSW

As the three major forums are jointly held, it coincides with the enthusiastic launch of the "Trendy Taipei" series of events, which include street music, art markets, and night performances, allowing attendees to experience the city's rhythm of "discussing trends during the day and exploring culture at night."

The Executive Director of the Taipei City Government's International Affairs Commission, Yu Zhenhua, stated: "We hope that in the future, we can create a comprehensive international event in Taipei, where technology, music, and creativity intersect, just like SXSW."
