U.S. national debt surpasses $37 trillion, raising concerns about fiscal health.

[Golden Finance] On August 12 local time, due to the U.S. federal government continuing to accumulate debt at a record pace, the total amount of U.S. national debt has surpassed $37 trillion for the first time. The latest data released by the U.S. Treasury shows that as of that afternoon, the total amount of U.S. national debt had reached $37,004,817,625,842. Maya MacGuineas, chair of the Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget, stated that the U.S. fiscal situation is severely unbalanced, yet Congress continues to worsen the situation.
