The cryptocurrency market welcomed a strong surge today, with XTER, ONT, and QTUM standing out particularly.
XTER leads with an impressive 121% increase, with a trading volume of 6.72 million USDT. Despite the Relative Strength Index (RSI) being close to 78, indicating an overbought condition, the Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) still shows a golden cross upward trend, suggesting that it may continue to rise in the short term.
Following closely is ONT, with a rise of 40% and a trading volume of 2.31 million USDT. The RSI exceeds 88, indicating strong buying momentum. However, the J value of the stochastic indicator (KDJ) is nearing 100, and investors should be wary of a possible pullback.
QTUM did not back down either, rising by 33%, with a trading volume close to 7 million USDT. MACD shows an increase in trading volume, and RSI is as high as 88, clearly in the overbought range. For investors interested in participating, it may be necessary to patiently wait for a correction opportunity.
It is worth noting that although these cryptocurrencies have performed well, technical indicators generally show short-term overheating. In particular, when the RSI exceeds 80, the risk factor significantly increases. For short-term traders, closely monitoring changes in trading volume is crucial. Typically, after a surge in volume, if a decrease occurs, it may indicate an impending adjustment.
Finally, investors are reminded to pay attention to risk management. In such volatile market fluctuations, it is essential to reasonably control positions and set stop losses. Remember, a surge often accompanies a crash, so it is crucial to remain calm and rational.
