Goldman Sachs has emerged as the largest investment institution in Ethereum-based exchange-traded funds, announcing an investment of $721.8 million. This is equivalent to 288,294 Ethereum, placing it ahead of other major firms such as Jane Street and Millennium Management. Jane Street's total investments amount to $190.4 million, while Millennium's investments stand at $186.9 million in Ethereum-based exchange-traded funds.


The significant customization by the company reflects Ethereum's new role within institutional portfolios, surpassing its origin as a technical asset. Goldman Sachs' position represents a turning point in Ethereum's journey towards mainstream acceptance in the global financial sector. It now stands alongside traditional assets such as stocks and bonds. Goldman Sachs' move indicates the evolution of Ethereum's identity as a core financial asset.

Ethereum ETF holdings reached (ETFs) among all institutional categories at 2.44 billion US Dollars by the end of the second quarter. This total exposure amounts to 975,650 Ethereum, indicating a significant increase in Ethereum adoption among financial institutions. Investment advisors have led this shift, raising 1.35 billion US Dollars from Ethereum ETF holdings. Their investment portfolios now contain 539,757 Ethereum, reflecting a net quarterly increase of 219,668 Ethereum.
