Although it has not been officially announced, according to information provided by the Reuters news agency; the company held an extraordinary general assembly meeting today in Tokyo, attended by minority shareholders as well. According to information from three people who spoke to the agency, the proposal for a capital increase of 884 million dollars was approved.
Metaplanet will raise approximately 130 billion yen by issuing 550 million new shares, which is about (884 million dollars). A large portion of this money will be used to purchase new Bitcoins.
Eric Trump also participated and supported
It was reported that Eric Trump also attended the crowded meeting, which was described as taking place in a party atmosphere and held on a large scale, and that he supported this capital increase needed for Bitcoin purchases. It was stated that Trump also met with small shareholders after the meeting and answered their questions.
