U.S. core CPI for August rose 0.3% MoM (vs. 0.30% expected, 0.30% prior) and 3.1% YoY (vs. 3.10% expected, 3.10% prior). Headline CPI came in at 2.9% YoY (vs. 2.90% expected, 2.70% prior) and 0.4% MoM (vs. 0.30% expected, 0.20% prior).
