🔥 Day 8 Hot Topic: XRP ETF Goes Live
REX-Osprey XRP ETF (XRPR) to Launch This Week! XRPR will be the first spot ETF tracking the performance of the world’s third-largest cryptocurrency, XRP, launched by REX-Osprey (also the team behind SSK). According to Bloomberg Senior ETF Analyst Eric Balchunas,
As the Federal Reserve is set to announce its September Interest Rate decision at 2 AM (Beijing time) on September 18, the gold futures market has shown a significant upward trend, continually breaking historical price highs.
On September 15, at the close of trading in New York, COMEX gold futures prices rose by 0.93%, settling at $3720.70 per ounce, with an intraday high of $3724.90, setting a new historical high. Following this, on September 16, COMEX gold futures broke through again, reaching a new intraday high of $3728.4.
Gold futures prices have continued to rise ahead of the Federal Reserve's interest rate decision, primarily due to the market's widespread expectation that the Fed will announce a rate cut at this meeting. Currently, investors have largely priced in the expectation of a 25 basis point rate cut. If the rate cut becomes a reality, the yield on dollar-denominated assets will decline, significantly enhancing the appeal of non-yielding gold.
In addition, the current complex international situation is also driving up gold prices. The situation in the Middle East remains tense, and the conflict between Russia and Ukraine has not yet subsided. At the same time, there are reports that NATO may impose significant sanctions on Russia after halting the purchase of Russian oil. These geopolitical factors are continuously intensifying the market's risk aversion sentiment, prompting more funds to flow into the gold market.
It is worth noting that in this complex economic and political environment, investors are closely monitoring the Federal Reserve's decisions and their potential impact on global financial markets. Gold, as a traditional safe-haven asset, often performs well during times of increased uncertainty, and the current price trend reflects this.
However, investors should also be cautious, as any unexpected decisions or statements from the Federal Reserve may lead to a rapid market adjustment. Therefore, when making investment decisions, it is necessary to comprehensively consider various factors and maintain continuous attention to market trends.
