The Web3 gaming market has recently experienced a wave of events and updates.
Yield Guild is actively promoting a collaboration with Crypto.com’s game Loaded Lions: Mane City, offering a prize pool of over $84,000. Meanwhile, MetaArena has joined a New Year event initiated by GamingOnSei and KuCoin Web3, where players can compete for $16,000 worth of SEI tokens by completing related tasks. The collectible card game Vibes TCG announced a partnership with SCG CON (a major tabletop gaming expo), planning to host tournaments with a $10,000 prize at each event throughout 2026.
Projects are also making rapid progress. Yuga Labs’ Otherside metaverse announced that the first batch of "Feels" physical merchandise will launch on Amazon’s official store on January 22, marking an important step in community IP commercialization. Pump.game has launched a GAMES token airdrop for PUMP holders and Pump.fun users, distributed based on user holdings and past trading activity.
In terms of game releases, Roguelike shooter Zombie World will officially launch on the Immutable platform on January 31. Developed by Trillionaire Thugs, it supports multiple weapon types. At the same time, EVE Frontiers revealed a major plan—aiming to migrate to the Sui blockchain in Q1 2026 or earlier to further enhance blockchain capabilities and user experience.
Notably, Pixiland announced on January 15 that it will indefinitely suspend Web3 features and switch to a Web2 operation mode, meaning crypto transactions will be disabled. wPixi will be converted to in-game GEM currency at a 10:1 ratio, and users’ NFTs can still be withdrawn to personal wallets.
