Today, Chairman Wei Jianjun of Great Wall Motors posted a video publicly apologizing.

IT House attached Wei Jianjun’s apology as follows:

Hello friends and netizens, I want to apologize to everyone today. Yesterday, Wei brand officially announced the V9X spokesperson with a poster. Careful netizens noticed that the poster I created seemed to have been plagiarized, and I have seen all the comments.

After investigation, it is confirmed that the poster was indeed plagiarized. There is no excuse for this. Here, I apologize to Land Rover, to the original poster designer, and to the trusting netizens and friends. I and Great Wall Motors are willing to bear all legal and financial responsibilities arising from this. The main responsibility for this issue lies with me as the spokesperson who failed to thoroughly review and oversee. I will also reflect deeply on our management and processes to firmly prevent plagiarism.

Great Wall Motors has always adhered to the spirit of originality. In future work, we also hope that netizens and users will supervise us, point out our shortcomings at any time, and encourage our progress. Thank you all.
