Several jewelry stores suspend investment gold bar sales
On March 2nd, a field visit to the gold market revealed that as international gold prices continue to rise, some branded jewelry stores have suspended sales of investment gold bars and replaced them with craft gold bars. Compared to investment gold bars, craft gold bars are priced 200 to 300 yuan per gram higher. “Currently, the company only sells craft gold bars. Today, the price for craft gold bar products with gold stamps is 1,433 yuan per gram. Investment gold bars were sold before, but they are now discontinued, and it is not expected that they will be sold again in the short term,” said a sales staff member at a Chow Tai Fook store in Beijing.
