Shanghai: Promoting the Silver Economy. This year, we will carry out targeted research and development of elderly care technology products.

The Shanghai Municipal Government’s themed press conference was held on February 7. Deputy Director of the Shanghai Civil Affairs Bureau, Lou Guojian, stated that by 2026, a platform will be established to connect the supply and demand of technology companies and elderly care institutions, conducting joint research on elderly care technology products and evaluating their application effectiveness to promote functional optimization. To support this, a policy has been introduced that provides a one-time reward of 100,000 yuan for projects that develop elderly care technology application scenarios or collaborate with technology companies on joint research.
