China News Service, March 12 — According to North Korean Central News Agency on the 12th, Kim Jong Un, General Secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea and Chairman of the State Affairs Commission, inspected an important military factory under the Second Economic Committee on the 11th to learn about weapons production.

Kim Jong Un pointed out that the factory, which produces pistols and other portable light weapons, plays a crucial role in enhancing the combat effectiveness of the military, social security, and civilian armed forces. It should expand production capacity in the long term, set high standards for modernizing production processes and achieving civilized production, and responsibly implement these tasks.

Kim Jong Un also stated that the Second Economic Committee should focus on improving the technological equipment level of key military enterprises, strictly establish quality management regulations and order, plan the supply of materials and collaborative products, improve economic organization work, and ensure the mass production of various weapons and equipment with quality and quantity.
