Vitalik Buterin: Ethereum was envisioned as a "world computer," but the protocol and infrastructure still need improvement

Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin shared that after participating in Real World Crypto, he gained a new perspective on key use cases for the network: beyond smart contracts and payments, he highlighted Ethereum's role as a common "public bulletin board" and global shared memory. According to him, the market has moved beyond the 2020–2022 phase: commissions are now very low, and the scaling plan should maintain them at this level even as the load increases. At the same time, Buterin emphasized that for all these scenarios to work effectively, Ethereum needs further development of its protocol and infrastructure.
