What is Primer 2.0?
Setting out with the mission of using technology to make a positive impact on society, the Astar project shared the details of Astar 2.0 with community members. Primer 2.0 is aimed to affect the entire structure of the network, from tokenomy to governance structure.
Primer 1.0 is all about building the core infrastructure and security, while Primer 2.0 focuses on bringing Web3 to billions and further centralizing Primer. A very important part of Primer 2.0 is the Primer Link feature.
Primer consolidates multiple virtual machines allowing dApps to communicate with EVM and Substrate chains. Providing unified and seamless experiences for both users and developers for the technology to succeed, Astar Link will work as a hub to improve interoperability. This new hub will be a marketplace for developers to improve their experience with Rollups, Zero-Knowledge, and other tools necessary for mass adoption.
The project focuses on tuning ASTR to serve the needs of all ecosystem participants, from developers to users to corporate partners. In line with this goal, dApp staking was developed, where users can reward developers who contribute to the Astar ecosystem by creating dApps.
With an improved user experience, dApp staking will become more widely accessible and attractive for everyone, while ensuring that all contributors are rewarded fairly with Primer 2.0.
