Today is the last day of February, $BTC ‌ and the monthly close is approaching. Currently, the outlook doesn't look very optimistic. On Friday, both the US stock market and BTC declined simultaneously. As we've been saying these past few days, market sentiment can be driven by earnings reports, but liquidity won't improve because of earnings. Especially with the ongoing trend of institutional fund outflows and overall market selling for four consecutive days, which are all signs of the current market condition. The core narrative remains that of insufficient liquidity; the lack of funds is a key issue. Solving this problem still depends on monetary policy. Yesterday's PPI data was also disappointing. Although it was lower than the previous value, it exceeded expectations. The month-over-month increase was higher than both the previous figure and forecasts. The annual and monthly core PPI rates are also above previous and expected levels. Inflation that has been declining for two consecutive months may face some challenges this month, which is a concern for investors. Rising PPI likely means PCE will also rise, which is not good news for US monetary policy. Bad PPI data can influence market sentiment over the weekend, and liquidity during the weekend is usually poor, so hopefully, nothing unexpected happens. That's all we can hope for. But from a long-term perspective, I am not very worried. On one hand, the US tariffs that suppressed the Federal Reserve's rate cuts have already had results. Without the threat of tariffs, the probability of inflation declining increases. On the other hand, as June approaches, Fed Chair Powell remains a very important card for Trump. There is a real chance of continued easing in the second half of 2026 to boost the mid-term elections. Looking at BTC data, it’s still a day of declining trading volume and turnover rate. There’s nothing much to say about that. Investors’ buying sentiment has already detached from earnings reports. What rises from here just falls back to where it came from. This is a sign of insufficient liquidity. Every upward move may be driven by institutional and hedge fund liquidity withdrawals. #BTC #ETH
