Some successful blockchain game projects choose to issue their own public chain or Layer 2 network, such as:

  • Dapper Labs(CryptoKitties) issues Flow blockchain
  • Sky Mavis(Axie Infinity) issues Ronin sidechain
  • Immutable(Gods Unchained) issues ImmutableX

This model relies on the influence of a single game, requiring the launch product to ignite the market. However, there are also risks, such as the impact of the Ronin theft incident on the Axie ecosystem.

Decentralization game development engines provide developers with more freedom and creativity. Representative projects include:

The advantage of the distribution platform model lies in light asset operation, which allows for rapid accumulation of game quantity. However, there is still a significant gap in both game quality and quantity compared to traditional platforms.

Decentralization platform still has huge development space:

  3. Competing with traditional platforms: catching up with traditional platforms in terms of user experience, security, and other aspects.
