Charlie Kirk was a well-known conservative activist in the United States and a political ally of Trump, who was shot and killed on September 10, 2025, while speaking at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah, at the age of 31. About three hours after the incident, Trump posted on social media that Kirk had died and expressed condolences to his wife and family. Trump also ordered nationwide half-staff flags in mourning, which lasted until 6 PM on the 14th.
