Abstract generation in progress

Golden data on 9th of October, global rating agency S&P stated that they have put Boeing’s rating on the negative credit watch list, as around 33,000 Boeing workers are still on strike, leading to a halt in the production of its best-selling jet. Union members have been on strike for 26 days, demanding a 40% pay raise over four years and the restoration of pension benefits that were canceled in the contract 10 years ago. According to the rating agency’s estimate, Boeing will generate approximately $10 billion in cash outflow in 2024 and may need to raise capital. S&P’s decision to put Boeing on the credit watch list reflects the increased possibility of a downgrade if the strike continues, leading to increased costs, delayed aircraft production, and recovery of cash flow for the company.
