Market capitalization reaches 311 trillion yen, Bitcoin surpasses Amazon to become the 5th in the world with a new all-time high.
The market capitalization of the cryptocurrency Bitcoin (BTC) has reached $2.16 trillion (¥311 trillion), surpassing Amazon’s $2.13 trillion to become the fifth largest asset in the world. After recording a new all-time high of $109,565, the price is currently hovering around $108,700, showing a 6.5% increase year-to-date.
Gold remains at the top of the global asset rankings at $22.3 trillion, followed by Microsoft, NVIDIA and Apple in the range of $3 trillion to $3.36 trillion. Bitcoin has surpassed Amazon and has grown to rival traditional tech giants.
This background reflects the strong interest of institutional investors through ETFs. BlackRock’s Bitcoin spot ETF “IBIT” recorded a net inflow of $8.9 billion (approximately 1.2 trillion yen) year-to-date, quickly rising to the top 5 in the ETF ranking. It has significantly improved its position from 47th just a month ago, having gained about $6.5 billion in funding since April 21.
