Upbit announced on the 1st that it has sequentially resumed digital asset deposits and withdrawals that were suspended after the cyber breach incident on the 27th of last month. The company urged users not to use the existing addresses and to ensure that they generate a new deposit address.

As of this day, Upbit has resumed deposits and withdrawals for 277 digital assets across 48 networks.

Upbit has inspected the overall wallet system immediately after the purchase and reinforced security vulnerabilities. In this process, all existing deposit addresses are being replaced with new wallets. To send assets from external personal wallets or other exchanges to Upbit, a new deposit address must be issued for each digital asset.

Upbit stated that “there may be delays in reflecting deposits made to the old address” and emphasized that “users should immediately delete the Upbit address stored in personal wallets and other exchanges to avoid erroneous transfers.”

The issuance of deposit addresses is immediately available after selecting digital assets on the deposit and withdrawal page of the Upbit app or website. Upbit is resuming deposits and withdrawals in the order of completion of network safety checks, and relevant information will be continuously provided.
