I've been looking at the PIPPIN token recently (contract code PIPPINUSDT) and noticed something pretty strange.

Compared to addresses considered as smart money, most of those who made a profit have basically sold everything and left. Normally, when the big players pull out, the price should crash, right? But now the holdings have dropped from over 9 million to just 120,000, yet the token price is still holding up and hasn't really plummeted.

This doesn't seem to make sense logically. Is there some other capital absorbing the sell-off, or is there some news that I haven't noticed? Anyone knowledgeable can explain what’s usually going on in situations like this?

Isn't this a typical prelude to a price dump? If whales are running away but positions are still holding, it means someone is indeed picking up the slack, but it's most likely retail investors' hard-earned money that's getting caught.

Why is PIPPIN so weird? The big whales have dumped and the price is still holding up—unbelievable. The market maker is playing tricks, the retail bagholder routine is the same old story. With this kind of setup, there's a 99% chance someone is secretly pumping the price. Stop thinking about it and get out quickly. Wait, the position shrank to 120,000 and it can still hold the price? That’s really strange, better be cautious. Looks like some smart money is supporting the price, but I usually avoid these kinds of projects.

I've been looking into this coin called PIPPIN (contract code PIPPINUSDT) and noticed something pretty strange. After comparing "smart money" addresses, I found that most of the profitable ones have basically sold off everything and bailed. Normally, if the big players pull out, the price should crash, right? But now the holdings have shrunk from over 9 million to just 120,000, and yet the coin price is holding up pretty well—there hasn't been any major drop. This doesn't really make sense to me. Is there other capital stepping in to take over, or is there some news I haven't noticed? Does anyone experienced know what usually causes this kind of situation?

If the market maker doesn't dump, and there are fewer retail investors to take over, they can only hold on. They'll have to offload slowly.

The whales have left but the price is still holding? Isn't this a typical bag-holding game? Naive new investors with more money than sense are desperately holding on at the bottom—let's see what happens next. It's crazy that the holdings dropped from 9 million to 120,000; the smart money saw the problem long ago. I just want to see who ends up being the final bag holder this time.

This is a typical bag-holder game. Big players cash out, new retail investors take over, and if the price is being propped up without crashing, it means someone is supporting it.

This is a typical illusion before a dump—the whales have exited, and new retail investors are coming in to take over. Just wait and see.

This is a classic price support scheme, don’t overthink it. --- Big holders are cashing out at high prices? That means someone is quietly taking over their positions. That’s just how retail investors’ fate is. --- Holding dropped from 9 million to 120,000 and it’s still not crashing? There’s definitely something going on here, stay away. --- Everyone’s left but the price is still being propped up—someone’s just blowing smoke. --- I just want to know how much of that 120,000 is retail investors’ money. --- The smart money has left and someone still dares to bottom fish? Gotta admire that courage. --- Most likely, the new buyers are just another round of funds looking to fleece retail investors. --- That’s just how these tokens work, don’t try to make sense of it—just get out. --- Holdings are plunging but the price isn’t following, probably means the actual trading volume isn’t that high at all. --- Unbelievable, all the whales have left but the price stays stable. I’ve seen this move way too many times.
