ETP products may face large-scale liquidation; analysts predict 2027 could be a turning point

Abstract generation in progress

【Crypto World】There’s an interesting perspective worth discussing. Senior analyst James Seyffart recently made a bold prediction about the prospects of cryptocurrency ETP products—he believes that these products may face a wave of large-scale liquidations. When? According to his judgment, the end of 2026 will be a watershed moment, but the critical point is likely to occur before the end of 2027.

Why do I say that? Just look at how hot the market is right now. Issuers are rushing to launch new products, with at least 126 application files waiting for approval. With so many new products flooding into the market, product homogeneity and intensified competition are inevitable. Some institutions that rely on ETPs riding the wave may not be able to sustain themselves once the market returns to rationality.

This is not alarmist talk, but a normal market cycle. Periods of high growth are always accompanied by adjustments. Those whose fundamentals are not solid enough may be eliminated when the time comes. Interested friends can follow the subsequent development of this track.

126 applications pending approval? Things are about to get lively, and someone will definitely get burned. --- Before 2027? I think it will be even sooner, a bunch of trend-following ETPs will eventually face a shakeout. --- When the market is hot, even pigs can fly, but the problem is they can't fly for long. --- The homogenization issue is really painful; current ETP products are really all the same. --- Launching new products in clusters is essentially a game of hot potato; whoever is last will panic. --- Institutions with weak fundamentals should start to panic now; the truth will be revealed in the next two years. --- 126 applications? Just looking at that number shows how big the bubble is; it's time to deflate. --- The cycle rules are right here; greedy institutions will end up having to pay their debts.

126 applications pending approval? Damn, how many projects are going to die by 2027? --- It's that "market cycle theory" again. It sounds right, but when it comes to liquidation, even the top players have to kneel. --- Wait, has James' prediction ever been accurate? I remember his comments from last year backfired. --- Forget 2027, I think the reshuffle will start as early as 2025. The current ETPs are so homogenized it's ridiculous. --- Basically, the market cycle profits are gone, and now it's just a matter of who lasts the longest. --- 126? Oh my... Isn't this just helping me list a blacklist? --- Makes sense. Anyway, projects that follow the trend are bound to be eliminated. Survival of the fittest is normal.

126 applications piled up there, this is a sign of a bubble. Let's wait and see who makes it out alive in 2027.

126 applications are in the queue, how competitive must it be... I wouldn't be surprised at all if a bunch of trash ETPs pop up and die out by 2027.

126 applications are in line? Now I'm really panicking, feeling like they're digging a hole for the newcomers. We'll see the results before 2027, so let's just wait and watch the show. Anyway, the retail investors will definitely get cut again. ETP is now just everyone rushing to catch the trend. Once the trend fades, a bunch of institutions should really shut down. That's right, those with weak fundamentals should indeed be eliminated. The market is never merciful. This wave of liquidation is coming, and I wonder how many people will have their dreams shattered...

Are there 126 applications waiting? Haha, this wave of ETP craze is indeed a bit crazy, it feels like everyone is betting on the wind not to fall. A major cleanup before 2027? That makes sense, someone has to take the blame. Homogeneous products piling up, and then there will probably be another round of harvesting. Weak institutions really can't hold on. Market cycles are always like this; prosperity always comes with adjustments. Be prepared, everyone.
