Star Entertainment Faces Leadership Overhaul As Senior Executives Resign
Star Entertainment Group Limited (SGR.AX) disclosed significant management transitions that will reshape its leadership structure over the coming months. The gaming and hospitality company revealed that Bruce Mathieson Jnr has been confirmed by the board as Group Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, contingent upon securing regulatory and ministerial approvals from New South Wales and Queensland authorities.
The leadership reshuffle comes as the organization undergoes key personnel changes. Group Chief Operating Officer Jeannie Mok will depart from her position, with her departure scheduled for the end of January 2026. Additionally, Group Chief Financial Officer Frank Krile announced his exit from the company, effective December 29, 2025. Both departures mark a transition period for the organization’s top management ranks.
In response to the CFO vacancy, Star Entertainment indicated it will initiate a recruitment process to identify a replacement for the Group Chief Financial Officer position. The company committed to keeping market participants and stakeholders informed through subsequent announcements as the selection process progresses.
The management transition reflects broader strategic adjustments within the organization as it positions itself under new executive direction. The appointments and departures remain subject to customary regulatory approvals and ministerial clearances required for senior leadership positions within Australia’s gaming sector.
