Ledger users need to be alert. Reports indicate that a new data breach has occurred involving the well-known hardware wallet Ledger when conducting transactions through third-party payment processor Global-e.
According to security researcher ZachXBT's disclosure, Global-e's cloud system experienced abnormal activity. Although the relevant team has taken control measures and reinforced the system, an investigation confirmed that some Ledger users' personal information was improperly accessed. The leaked data includes sensitive information such as user names and contact details.
This incident is still under further investigation. For users who rely on hardware wallets to manage assets, regularly checking account activity and updating security settings should become part of their routine. Especially when payments or transactions involve third-party services, increased vigilance is necessary.
