There's a powerful—yet divisive—statement buried in the Trustless Manifesto that deserves more attention: Ethereum wasn't designed to make finance faster or applications easier. Its real purpose? To liberate people. That's the core idea. Many miss this distinction entirely, treating Ethereum as just another efficiency tool. But the philosophy goes deeper. It's about removing intermediaries, questioning centralized control, and giving individuals genuine agency over their own assets and data. Whether you agree or not, this vision fundamentally shaped how the network was built and continues to influence its evolution. Understanding this distinction matters if you want to grasp what Ethereum was truly meant to achieve.

ngl this is the story ETH should be telling, but unfortunately most people only care about when it will rise to 10,000

Well said, many people really misunderstand. They think ETH is just to make money faster, but in fact, it's all about the game of power.

To be honest, I think this view is a bit idealistic... Liberation sounds great, but everyone who has actually used ETH knows what gas fees are. The goal of liberating the people is noble, but right now most people are just trading coins for fun.

Well... that's true, but the reality is that most people only care about how much they can earn, right?

Free humanity? Haha, don't be silly. We're still being squeezed by gas fees.

Alright, this idea of "liberating humanity" sounds indeed idealistic, but what about reality? Most people use ETH mainly to make money or play DeFi... How many truly care about the philosophy of "removing intermediaries"?
