Having been in the crypto world for so long, I've seen many people overestimate their skills and underestimate the difficulty, always hoping to hit the jackpot overnight. In reality, the most practical goal should be to first reach one million — with this number as a stepping stone, earning a stable spot market return of 20% can cover an entire year's salary for an average person.
This market isn't about daily scalpings for tiny gains to survive. Those who last long play by breaking down compound interest into several big hits, achieved through rolling positions. Usually, they practice with small positions to find their feel, and when a real signal appears, they deploy heavy firepower. But there's a strict rule: only roll long positions, never roll short positions.
So what do the signals for opportunities look like? Mainly three dimensions. First is the technical aspect: after a big drop, long-term sideways consolidation, followed by a sudden surge with massive volume breaking upward, indicates a trend reversal is stabilizing; second is the daily chart performance: when the price breaks above key moving averages with increased volume, market sentiment shows clear signs of warming; finally, the popularity aspect: when discussion levels are low, retail investors are still complaining, but smart money has already quietly accumulated positions.
Let's take an example with a capital of 50,000 yuan. First, confirm that this 50,000 is profit from previous trades, not living expenses or borrowed money. After stopping losses and recovering funds, then consider rolling positions. Use a segregated account management mode, with total position not exceeding 10%, and leverage up to 10x, so the actual leverage remains at 1x, with a stop-loss line firmly set at 2%.
After a position breakouts, the first addition should be patient—wait until the price rises by 10% before acting. Then, take 10% of the new profits to open a new position, but keep the stop-loss at 2%. Throughout the process, adhere to three iron rules: never go all-in, never add to losing positions, never fight against the trend. When reaching the stop-loss point, close everything to preserve ammunition for the next opportunity.
A typical 50% upward wave, when rolled with compound interest, can grow from 50,000 to 200,000. Catching two such cycles is enough to reach 1 million. In fact, just three to four successful rollovers in a lifetime can elevate from 50,000 to 1 million, then 10 million, in a stepwise manner, after which you can simply stop and enjoy your life.
A key rule for risk control: don’t roll during volatile oscillations, don’t roll during downtrends, and don’t chase hot coins. The beauty of segregated accounts is that even if the principal is wiped out, only the margin is lost; other funds are automatically locked, so even in liquidation, you can't touch the main account. Another crucial point: during rolling, take out 30% of profits each time, to buy a house, a car, or improve your life—secure your gains and avoid being consumed by greed.
Honestly, rolling positions isn’t a game of risking your life; it’s an art of patience. Wait for opportunities to roll, and when there are none, rest assured and do nothing. Better to miss a hundred chances than to operate recklessly.
Once you truly roll your way to your first 1 million, this process will teach you how to understand position sizing, manage emotions, and read market cycles. After that, it’s just about repeating the same pattern. The market is so realistic and fair—opportunities always favor those who are well prepared.
