I have walked this path myself. Starting in mid-December, I began trading with an initial account balance of 2,200 USD. After half a month, the account grew to 8,100 USD. $ETH was the main profit engine.

But then I experienced a sharp downturn — profits shrank to 4,800 USD. The lesson from the loss was very painful, mainly due to losses on some small-cap coins, like $NIGHT. Lack of perspective and greed made it easy to fall into traps.

The turning point came in the early hours of the 14th. Sticking to a long position strategy on mainstream coins, the account finally broke through the 10,000 USD mark.

Looking back, this month’s experience was very enlightening — the market trends of $BTC and $ETH are the core of making money. Keeping pace with mainstream coins is more important than anything else. Altcoins are very tempting, but also risky. The market always rewards those who stick to discipline.
