The market has been volatile recently, and I managed to catch a wave of gains with SOL, so I took profits and secured my position. But the pullback in ETH and BNB also reminded me of a harsh reality—profits beyond our understanding will eventually be given back.
It was the same when I was trading RONIN and AXS before. Before truly understanding the project logic and risk boundaries, my approach was to observe patiently and not rush to exit. While this might mean missing some opportunities, it’s more important to avoid the fatal damage caused by ignorance.
There’s a saying that I remember well: investing is essentially a fight against ignorance. The real risk comes from not knowing what you should be learning. Just think about it—markets are always changing, but your understanding might be stuck in yesterday. That guarantees your decisions today will lead to pitfalls. Weather forecasts often get it wrong, so how can market trends be any different? Instead of fighting the market, it’s better to push yourself to learn a little more every day.
After trading for a while, I realized that the real competitor isn’t the market, but the ceiling of your own knowledge. The more you learn, the more confident you become. Those stories of “getting rich overnight” are just stories. Steadily deepening your understanding and improving your judgment is the real ticket to long-term survival.
