An industry insider recently discussed the essence of meme coins and came to some quite interesting conclusions. Ultimately, a truly solid meme coin must possess four qualities: historical heritage, narrative tension, practical development, and community consensus. It sounds like a high threshold, but some coins have indeed achieved it. For example, certain Chinese-language meme coins are supported by historical accumulation, have a coherent narrative, and most importantly, the team is actively working, with community consensus gradually building. Projects like these naturally stand out more easily.

That's true, but there are very few projects that actually possess all four of these qualities; most are still relying on hype to sustain themselves.

Listening to this set of arguments is okay, but I don't know which coins can truly achieve these four things.

That's true, but to be honest, most meme coins never reach this stage.

Wake up, everyone. These four things sound nice, but in reality, they are just tests to see whose "cutting leeks" technique is more effective. Strong storytelling, enough community consensus? Ha, isn't that just well-written brainwashing copy, the textbook routine of a Ponzi scheme.

Alright, let's listen to these four points. Basically, it means having some foundation, being able to tell stories, actually doing the work, and having loyal fans... Only then can you survive.

Oh no, all four things are complete? The ones I follow in the Chinese department definitely have some movement, I need to take a serious look or I'll really miss out.

Honestly, these four are indispensable. Most meme coins fail due to lack of community consensus.

Basically, it means you need to have real substance, not just hype.

Buddy, there are very few who can actually have all four of these things, even if you put it nicely.

Haha, these four points are quite accurate, but let me tell you, brother — the only real arbitrage opportunity is whether the community consensus can support the annualized return. Historical background? Narrative tension? All are superficial; in the end, it all comes down to on-chain data.
