The latest regulatory draft on stablecoins isn't exactly favorable news for issuers—particularly those with ambitions in tokenized RWA markets. Those betting on looser restrictions in real-world asset tokenization? The current proposal doesn't seem to deliver what they hoped for. The real question now is how much will shift between this draft and the final version, and frankly, the market impact remains to be seen.

Once the stablecoin regulatory draft is released, the RWA folks will probably have to recalculate... The real uncertainty lies in the final version; only through testing will we know how the market will react.

Regulation always tends to reveal itself at the last moment. This version does seem a bit unfriendly, but who says the final draft won't have a reversal... Arbitrage opportunities are often hidden within this kind of uncertainty.
