There are new developments in the technical optimization of the Ethereum ecosystem. Recently, the main developers proposed an interesting idea — to give Ethereum a "big cleanup."

The core issue is quite straightforward: the protocol code is becoming increasingly bloated, accumulating many features that are no longer in use. The solution is also quite practical — to clean up those legacy elements, migrate unnecessary logic to smart contracts, and simplify the gas fee calculation model. It sounds simple, but in reality, it’s about "slimming down" the entire network.

The head of the Solana ecosystem also expressed support for this approach, emphasizing that continuous iteration and optimization are necessary. In the rapidly evolving blockchain industry, the ability to continuously improve technical infrastructure is key to long-term competitiveness.

Although these technical improvements may not be immediately noticeable to users, they are very important for long-term network efficiency and scalability.

It's starting the "big cleanup" again, but I don't know if this time they can really reduce the gas fees... --- Finally someone said it out loud, the ETH code is indeed extremely bloated, just worried that changing it might introduce bugs again --- That's a good idea, combining garbage cleanup + simplifying gas calculations, it feels like they're finally serious --- Sol also agrees? Then it might really be a good direction, not common to see consensus between two major ecosystems --- Sounds great, but how smoothly it can be implemented in practice is hard to say... Hope it doesn't get delayed another half year --- Solving the gas fee issue can't be done in a day, any optimization is pointless if it doesn't work this time, can it succeed?

Ethereum is finally starting to perform surgery, and this should have been done a long time ago. The code is as bloated as my wallet... full of useless stuff.

Finally, someone is starting to do this. Ethereum is bloated beyond belief, and Gas fees are simply outrageous. But real implementation is another matter altogether...

Finally, someone is going to cut Ethereum down to size. Its bloated appearance is hard to watch.

ngl, this is what separates the veterans from the altseason noise. ethereum finally doing the real maintenance work nobody talks about at parties. reminds me of those early mining days when we had to optimize every byte... protocol bloat kills everything eventually. respect the discipline here.
