Abstract generation in progress

In observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day on January 19th, multiple markets will suspend trading significantly as part of the US holiday. According to reports from PA News, the impact of this important American holiday will extend to global financial markets, making prior preparation essential for investors.

Changes in Major Exchange Trading Hours

On the day of the US holiday, trading of precious metals and US crude oil futures on CME will end early at 03:30 UTC+8 on January 20th. Additionally, trading of US Treasury and stock index futures contracts will be halted at 02:00 UTC+8 on the same day, so those investing in these products should be especially cautious.

Agricultural Markets Also Closed

Agricultural commodity trading on ICE and CBOT will also be affected by this US holiday and will be canceled on that day. Overall trading opportunities in the commodity futures markets will be significantly reduced.

Schedule Confirmation for Investors

With multiple markets closing simultaneously on this US holiday, pre-position adjustments and risk management are crucial. Traders are advised to verify the exact closing times of each exchange and to make planned investment decisions accordingly.
