Principal ETH holder added another 5,000 tokens to Hyperliquid despite increasing losses
While Ethereum retreated to approximately $1,950, the largest long position holder in ETH on Hyperliquid executed an aggressive move: adding 5,000 ETH to their already substantial position. According to data collected by the monitoring platform Ember and reported by Foresight News, this address now controls a long position of 105,000 ETH, worth about $205 million at an average entry price between $2,029 and $2,060.
The Cost of Confidence
The timing of the operation makes it clear that the investor is betting on Ethereum’s recovery. With the coin currently trading at $2,130 (up 7.31% in the last 24 hours), the consolidated position still carries an unrealized loss of $10.43 million. This metric reflects the difference between the average entry price and the current value of the portfolio.
Market Signals
Reinforcing a position amid a red market is a typical sign of strong conviction or a strategy of accumulation during a downturn. Large holders often use these volatility moments to expand their exposure, signaling an optimistic outlook on the token’s upcoming movements.
