LATEST: The U.S. Calls on Israel to Cease Attacks on Iran's Energy Facilities
According to Axios ( published today, citing three sources including an Israeli official): The Trump administration on Monday requested Israel ( at a high level and also with the commander of the Israel Defense Forces) to stop further attacks on Iran's energy infrastructure, especially oil facilities.
The reason: to avoid harming civilians, to facilitate post-war oil cooperation, and to prevent Iran's retaliation against energy sites in the Gulf region.
The White House/Israel declined to comment.
