🇮🇳🚨 CBI Arrests Darwin Labs Co-Founder in $790M GainBitcoin Scam
India’s Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested Ayush Varshney, co-founder and CTO of Darwin Labs, at Mumbai airport over his alleged role in the $790M (₹6,606 crore) GainBitcoin fraud.
Investigators claim Darwin Labs built the scheme’s core technical infrastructure, including the investor platform, GBMiners mining pool, and payment wallets.
The scam, operated through Variabletech Pte. Ltd., allegedly defrauded around 8,000 investors by promising 10% monthly Bitcoin returns, before diverting funds into its native MCAP tokens.
