🇺🇸 US SENATE ADDS CBDC BAN TO HOUSING BILL

The US Senate voted to include a provision banning the Federal Reserve from issuing a central bank digital currency in the bipartisan housing bill H.R. 6644, the “21st Century ROAD to Housing Act.”
The measure would prohibit the Fed from creating a dollar-denominated digital currency available to the public directly or through financial intermediaries.
