What often frightens us is not the problem itself that we face, but our fear of fear, which magnifies the severity of the problem and turns a minor issue into an ocean of troubles.

When you can visualize the problem, describe it accurately without letting fear cause you to avoid it, you'll find that answers emerge alongside it. You'll discover the problem is far smaller than you imagined.

When encountering a problem, ask yourself: will this problem kill me?

Not in the social death sense—not that many people care about your reputation or which crack you need to hide in. If it won't result in death, then it's a small matter.

Beyond life and death, everything is a small matter.
