I had a thought these past couple of days—after achieving financial freedom and retiring from the industry, I want to become a food blogger. I was so excited about this idea that I told my best friend, and she simply said: "Start now! Let's go!"
You're right, I have the conditions to start now. Plus, setting this kind of flag about what I'll do after making money—those movie endings never turn out well. And the KOL profession itself requires traveling everywhere.
So starting from now, I'll be documenting the special and delicious food I eat!
Let me start with today's Japanese restaurant in Bangkok!
Since today is Friday, the restaurant was packed with reservations. We were walk-ins without reservations, so we could only sit at the long bar counter.
Today was my first time trying sea urchin. At first taste, it's a bit fishy-sweet, very smooth—if you're not careful, it slides right down your throat! With a bit of sauce and wasabi, the more you eat, the more addicted you become. Especially that slippery texture is fantastic.
Salmon and tuna are truly my favorites. I have to say they're so much better compared to what we get domestically—they melt in your mouth instantly, the fat is delicate, with no fishiness whatsoever, only the sweet freshness of seafood.
I have no idea what kind of grilled fish it was, but it was roasted until crispy and fragrant, with very fresh fish meat flavor similar to Pacific saury. It's very convenient to eat—you just pick up a whole piece with chopsticks, and there are hardly any bones. Really tasty.
There were many other dishes, but either I'm not used to them or they weren't that good, so I won't introduce them one by one. Finally, about the price—the three of us ate until full for over 9,000 Thai baht, which converts to just over 2,000 yuan.
