I might have found a new hype cycle early: AI DeFi Agents.

Today, most users in DeFi manage protocols themselves.
• doing lending
• providing liquidity
• tracking yield opportunities

But this model is actually quite manual.

Large capital thinks differently.
"Where should this capital be, at what risk level, and how should it be distributed?"

That's where a new layer emerges in DeFi:
Curators.

In TradFi, this role is called:

In crypto, it's increasingly called:

Over time, this role could be performed by AI agents.

Think about it:
An AI agent constantly analyzes this data:
• liquidity
• yield rates
• risk parameters
• market volatility
• lending demand

and automatically:
• reallocates capital
• reduces positions when risk increases
• changes strategy when opportunities appear

Examples:

Even though it's still early stage, the structure is forming.

Right now, this idea is largely in the infrastructure and development phase.

That's why some researchers are now asking this question:
"Will humans or AI agents manage DeFi strategies in the future?"

If this model grows, it could completely change how capital management works in DeFi.
