You'll do better in trading if you stop thinking about the money or profit you'll make.

To achieve this you have to risk an amount that's small enough to mean something and also small enough to not worry about it.
If you over-risk it'll always be on your mind and at that point you cannot avoid thinking about the money.
Then you'll get distracted from the process to actually make the money and not make any money at all.
You simple cannot avoid managing your risk for long term survival.
Not managing risk properly is why 95%+ of traders fail.
It's why you fail prop firms. You risk too much and now you don't have enough trades left for your edge to play out properly.
It's why some people start trading then quit...by default because they don't have any money left to trade.
As a trader as long as you have capital to trade you can grow it overtime with an edge and proper risk management.
It might seem like you'll make slow progress but you'll make the most progress by developing your risk management discipline
