Gate now supports TradFi product trading across all scenarios. “TradFi” will be upgraded from a single-product concept into a comprehensive trading section on Gate, covering three core trading types: CFD Contracts, Perpetual Contracts, and Spot Tokens. This creates a complete multi-asset, multi-strategy trading system designed to meet users’ diverse needs in market judgment, risk preference, and capital allocation.
CFD Contracts: Derivatives trading based on price difference settlement. Users do not need to hold the underlying asset itself and can trade in both directions based on price movements. Leverage is supported, making it suitable for cross-market strategies and strategic trading.
Perpetual Futures: Derivative futures based on crypto assets with no expiry date. They use a funding rate mechanism to keep prices anchored to spot prices and support high-frequency trading and trend-following strategies.
Spot Tokens: Direct buying, selling, and holding of crypto assets. These are suitable for long-term allocation and value investing, while also allowing participation in on-chain and ecosystem-related applications.
On this basis, the Contract for Difference products under the original “TradFi” section will undergo a standardized naming adjustment: Effective immediately, the Contract for Difference products under “TradFi” will officially be renamed “CFD Contracts” to enhance industry standardization and improve user clarity.
Details are as follows:
- The original “TradFi” section on the platform will include three asset entry points: CFD Contracts, Perpetual Contracts, and Spot Tokens.
- The original “TradFi” trading pages and related copy will gradually be unified under the name “CFD Contracts.”
- Users’ current positions, historical orders, and trading records will not be affected and can still be used and queried normally.
- Product functions, trading rules, and fee structures will remain unchanged.
