Whale Shifts 1,000 BTC After 12 Years, Bitcoin Eyes $120K

A long-dormant Bitcoin has been reported transferring all 1000 BTC to fresh wallets, as per a X post from Lookonchain wallet ‘1NzHXR……..ypZo’ has moved BTC to four new wallets.

As per the data from Arkham Intelligence, these BTC were bought by the whale nearly 12 years ago when BTC was worth $846.97

Yet in the most recent move, the wallet ‘1NzHXR……..ypZo’ has moved 99 BTC to ‘bc1q0e…………a9d’ and 500 Bitcoin has been moved to wallet ‘bc1………….mat’, however, 400 BTC were moved to wallet ‘bc1……………63’ and the remaining 1 BTC was transferred to ‘bc1……………jy’.

According to the data from CoinMarketCap as of writing, Bitcoin is exchanging hands at $117,151 with a surge of 1.08% intraday, yet in a week it grew by more than 5%.

Bitcoin is returning towards $120k with whale activity

In the past few trading sessions, Bitcoin prices have shown improvement, and in the past 24 hours, it’s traded at its highest at $117,231 and lowest at $114,813

With this bullish momentum, whales seem to be leveraging the opportunity to bail out profit, and long-dormant whales have managed to net huge revenue.

It is worth noting that currently Bitcoin is hovering near its monthly high of $117,377, and if bullish remains charged, there are expectations it will soon trade near the ATH of $124,457.

According to TradingView, BTC has a market capitalization of $2.33 trillion with an addition of $7.47 billion in the past 24 hours and surged 5.09% in a week.

As per an X post by Whale Alert dated August 17, 2025, someone just transferred 650 BTC from Coinbase to an unknown wallet

A post on August 17 also notes that 2,000 BTC has been moved from an unknown wallet to unknown wallet; experts term this transfer as a reshuffling of Bitcoin by a whale.

Another post by Whale Alert, dated September 16, 2025, notes that 800 BTC has moved from an unknown wallet to Binance. Market spectators argued that this transfer is probably the move to sell Bitcoin directly on a centralized exchange.

X post from Vince Crypto dated September 17, 2025, notes that a single whale just accumulated $678 million worth of Bitcoin in one day, and the timing is no coincidence
