Warning of increased Telegram username scams targeting the Shiba Inu community

Abstract generation in progress

The Shiba Inu community has been warned about the increase in scams involving Telegram usernames targeting crypto users. Scammers buy trusted or verified Telegram accounts to impersonate community members and carry out fraudulent activities. This impersonation helps them spread misinformation, steal cryptoassets, and exploit the reputation of well-known accounts.

Users are advised not to respond to personal messages requesting to purchase user names, as transactions outside the platform carry high security risks. Even legitimate platforms like Fragment should exercise caution, as risks often outweigh financial benefits. The Shibarium ecosystem is susceptible to attacks, with fake accounts resembling official channels disseminating malicious links. The community needs to verify authentication marks and only interact with trusted channels to protect their cryptoassets.
