According to DefiLlama, crypto protocols raised 1.9 billion USD in August, a fall of 30% compared to July (2.67 billion USD). Nevertheless, the third quarter has reached 4.57 billion USD in just 2 months, surpassing the total capital of 4.54 billion USD in the second quarter.

DefiLlamaDeFi leads with major deals: Portal (50 million USD), M0 (40 million USD), aPriori (20 million USD). The AI, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and stablecoin sectors also attracted capital, notably IVIX (60 million USD), Rain (58 million USD), Everlyn (15 million USD).

On the contrary, the public token sale fell sharply, reaching only 30.7 million USD after 7 projects, far less than the 600 million USD deal of PUMP in July.
