XRPL welcomes Wall Street giant? Securitize plans integration, BlackRock's $2 billion fund may go on-chain

On September 23, Securitize, a platform for tokenization, is seeking to integrate with the XRP Ledger (XRPL), which may directly introduce BlackRock's institutional digital Liquidity fund, BUIDL, to this blockchain. This move signifies a deepening integration between TradFi and blockchain infrastructure, further expanding XRPL's presence in the realm of real-world assets (RWA). If this integration is achieved, the on-chain deployment of BlackRock's $2 billion BUIDL fund, the largest tokenized coin market fund in the industry, will become a significant milestone for XRPL.

###The Rise of XRP Ledger: Continuous Expansion of RWA Landscape

In recent years, XRP Ledger (XRPL) has significantly strengthened its influence in the realm of Real World Assets (RWA), successfully attracting institutional users such as Guggenheim, VERT, and the Dubai Land Department. The participation of these institutions has propelled XRPL into the top ten in the blockchain rankings for RWA activities, highlighting its growing importance in the capital markets. At the same time, Ripple has also released a new roadmap positioning XRPL, along with its native assets XRP and RLUSD, as the infrastructure for stablecoin payments, collateralized lending, and a broader range of institutional use cases.

In this context, Securitize's plan to introduce BlackRock's $2 billion BUIDL fund into XRP is undoubtedly a major cross-border collaboration. The fund is currently the largest tokenization market fund in the coin market, and its on-chain will greatly enhance XRP's recognition and Liquidity in the institutional finance sector.

###RLUSD plays a key role: The Liquidity bridge of Tokenized Funds

As part of this collaboration, Ripple and Securitize are deploying a smart contract integration to embed RLUSD into the tokenization platform. This smart contract will allow investors to convert shares of funds such as BlackRock's BUIDL and VanEck's VBILL into RLUSD 24/7.

This integration is designed to enhance Liquidity, providing investors with a seamless way to transfer funds between Tokenized coin markets and on-chain stable assets. According to Ripple President Monica Long, institutional adoption of RLUSD is accelerating. She said, "Last week, we announced that DBS and Franklin Templeton are using RLUSD as a stable, compliant exchange mechanism for tokenized assets in lending and trading use cases. This week, Securitize added RLUSD as a new withdrawal channel for BlackRock and VanEck tokenized funds." According to CryptoSlate data, RLUSD has become one of the fastest-growing stablecoins, with a market capitalization of $741.4 million. Its integration with leading tokenized funds positions it at the intersection of TradFi and Blockchain, playing a core role.

###Conclusion

Securitize's plan to integrate with XRPL, as well as the potential on-chain integration of BlackRock's BUIDL fund, is another important example of the deep integration of TradFi and Blockchain. This move will not only greatly enhance XRPL's position in the RWA field, but also provide institutional investors with an efficient, transparent on-chain investment and Liquidity management tool. With more large institutions joining, the future development of the XRPL ecosystem is highly anticipated.
